First Choice PC Fix Password Bank FCPF Software Installing the Software: No installation is required. The software can run directly from your PC or a USB drive. Simply click on the executable file, and the software will start automatically, prompting you to enter the default password. Default Login and Password: The first password is a pin (1234) Change this password and use your own pin. The application password default username is Admin and the password is Pa$$w0rd1. Please ensure you update this account with your own username and password for security. Password Strength: Ensure your password is strong by using a combination of uppercase, lowercase, symbols (!@#$&), and numbers. A minimum of 12 characters is recommended for optimal security. Admin Access: Users with full admin access and an active user account can view and manage all windows. Level 1 access users can view and access all windows. Choose an Account Category or Table: To log into the software: Enter your username and password. Leave the window selection dropdown set to Menu. Click Login. To access the Users window: Select the Users window from the password login screen. Enter your username and password. Click Login to go directly to the Users window, where you can update and change user access and passwords. Main Menu Selection Window: Open: The Open option allows you to open a link associated with a record. When you create a record using the Form Entry Window, the URL associated with the record will open automatically when you click on that record. Click the open button from the Main Menu Selection Window. 1. Search for the record you want to access by typing the description name. 2. Click and select the record. If a web page is associated with the record, it will open automatically. 3. Right-click and paste the login or username into your web page's username field. 4. Wait for the Login window to appear a second time, then paste your password to log in. New Record: Add a new record to the database. Search: Search, edit, and delete records in your database. Green Key with Check Mark: This key creates an encrypted duplicate of your entire database with the password you used when logging into the software. Specify the location for the copy of your database (e.g., C:\firstchoicepcfix\ or a USB drive F:\). It's a good idea to make a copy of your drive as you add data to your database. Login and Passwords - 2FA: Two passwords are required for your database application. When running the software from a USB, change the default password (1234) to something more secure. This password is needed each time you run the software on a new computer. Password Requirements: The second password must be entered every time the software starts. It must contain a combination of special characters ($!#@&), uppercase, lowercase, and numbers, and be at least 10 characters long. Default Passwords: Ensure all default usernames and passwords are changed to properly secure your data. First login password: 1234 Second login username and password: Username: Admin Password: Pa$$w0rd1! Database Encryption and Decryption: If using the software from a USB, it is crucial to use the database encryption option to prevent unauthorized access. Incorrect password attempts can damage the database and make access even more impossible. How to Encrypt Your Database: Check the box under the exit button on the Main Menu Selection screen. Click Exit. The software will generate a password for you or allow you to create one. Click OK to continue and your database will be encrypted. How to Decrypt Your Database: Insert the USB with the software. Click on the dblock shortcut and enter the encryption password. Upon entering the correct password, the database will be decrypted, and Password Bank FCPC will open automatically. Summary Notes to Consider: Duplicated Records: Duplicate records are allowed but will prompt a popup message each time you select a record from the search results window until you rename one of the duplicated records. Automatic Logout: After three incorrect password attempts, the software will automatically log you out, and you must start over. Passwords: If you encrypt your database, you must enter the correct password to decrypt it. If you forget your password, send us an email, and we may assist in unlocking your file. Use unique methods to remember your password, and avoid entering the wrong password if unsure.
